Foundation for the History of Totalitarianism

Loading the tank 13th May 2022

On a cold morning in a forest in Czechia, the T55 tank we have purchased for exhibition was loaded onto a trailer to begin its journey to Bremerhaven and thence to Portbury, a port near Bristol.

This is the kind of tank which was used to suppress the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 and the Prague Spring in 1968.

This is one of a number of artefacts we have acquired. We hope to exhibit them in due course.
