Part-time Teaching Role

Part-time History Workshop Teacher

Location: Various schools across southern England, with occasional work in Westminster, London

Basis: Part-time, Freelance

Salary: Dependent on experience

The Foundation for the History of Totalitarianism is seeking to recruit a passionate and engaging history teacher to deliver in-school workshops on the Holodomor and potentially other topics related to totalitarian regimes. These workshops will be delivered in secondary schools across southern England during the autumn term.

This flexible, part-time role is ideal for a qualified teacher with classroom experience, strong communication skills, and a willingness to travel.

A complete Holodomor workshop plan has already been developed, but it can be revised in consultation with the Foundation.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver workshops on the Holodomor and potentially other topics during the autumn term.
  • Liaise with schools to arrange and schedule visits.
  • Travel to schools across southern England to deliver the workshops.

Ideal Candidate:

  • A qualified teacher with an enthusiasm for history, who has experience of teaching in a school.
  • A confident communicator who is friendly, personable and engaging with students.
  • Based in southern England and willing to travel.
  • Comfortable using a laptop to present slides and videos in a classroom setting.
