The popular film Mr Jones (2020) tells a fictionalised version of how Gareth Jones, a British journalist, explosively told the world that a famine was taking place. He boldly took a train to Ukraine to see what was really going on. His truth-telling was a dramatic contrast to the reports made by the notorious American journalist, Walter Duranty, who wrongly asserted that no famine was taking place.
