The Holodomor is commemorated every year on the fourth Saturday of November. Commemorative services are held in Ukrainian churches across the UK and much of the rest of the world. Some people light candles and put them in their front windows at dusk. The Holodomor memorial is located in the grounds of the Cathedral of the Holy Transfiguration of Our Lord (Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church) outside the church at the corner of Avenue Road and Newton Avenue in Acton, London.
